2021 Undergraduate Support Scheme for International Students at London School of Economics and Political Science

The Undergraduate Support Scheme provides funding for overseas (including EU) students on the basis of financial need.

Eligibility

The LSE Undergraduate Support Scheme (USS) is designed to help overseas students who do not have the necessary funds to meet all their costs of study.

Please note that the LSE receives far more applications for financial assistance than it can support and unfortunately not all applications to the Undergraduate Support Scheme will be successful.

Scholarship amount

For 2020, the School set aside approx £1,000,000 in entrance awards to self-financing students of all nationalities. It is expected that roughly the same amount will be available for 2021 entry.

The amount of assistance will vary according to individual financial needs but awards are usually between £6,000 and £15,000.

Awards are renewable for each year of your programme, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

How to apply

Once you’ve received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional), you can apply for this scholarship, the deadline to submit an application will be 27 April 2021.

All decisions will be sent to applicants by the end of July 2021.
