The VU International Excellence Scholarship recognises and rewards international student achievement. Awarding of the Scholarship will be based on academic merit and requires students to have achieved results that are higher than VU’s academic entrance requirements.
How to apply: No application is required, students are automatically assessed after submitting their application for an eligible qualification.
Value (2020 commencement):
Vocational Education and Training (VET): A$750 per semester and up to A$3,000 towards the total tuition fees.
Undergraduate: A$3,000 for the first two study periods and up to A$12,000 towards the total tuition fees.
Postgraduate: A$3,000 for the first two study periods and up to A$6,000 towards tuition fees.
Eligibility (2020 commencement): Recipients must be enrolled a full-time load (48 credit points in each study period) and maintain a 60 Weighted Average Mark (WAM), calculated after the completion of every 96 credit points, in order to receive the scholarship in subsequent semesters.
VET

You must be enrolled in a full-time load each semester and pass all units attempted in order to receive the scholarship in subsequent semesters. Students who have been offered a package course of two or more VET qualifications will be eligible to receive the scholarship in subsequent VET courses, should they complete the previous course in the standard duration.

For all semesters, trimesters and study levels, please note the following:
- Students must be enrolling in the full course duration to be eligible to receive a scholarship. Students who have received advanced standing/credit transfer into the VU qualification are ineligible, unless they are transferring from a VU course into another VU course.
- Students who have received a scholarship or sponsorship from another organisation are ineligible for these scholarships.
- For students enrolled in a course delivered in trimesters, subsequent scholarship payments will only be made following successful completion of every 48 credit points.
- Eligibility will be determined by a student’s academic results.
